Sarah Martinez serves as Senior Vice President of People & Culture at Funko, Inc., having joined the company in January 2021.
With over two decades of experience in Human Resources, Ms. Martinez brings deep expertise across Talent Management, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, Organizational Development, and Program Management. Since joining Funko, she has led a transformation of the People & Culture organization—introducing a formal compensation structure, expanded parental leave benefits, new learning and development programs, and a range of employee engagement initiatives. Her responsibilities have recently expanded to include oversight of the company’s Facilities and Security teams.
Prior to Funko, Ms. Martinez spent 20 years at Starbucks Coffee Company, where she helped lead several breakthrough people initiatives, including the Starbucks College Achievement Plan and the global expansion of Siren Retail.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology, with a minor in Sociology, from Central Washington University.
